I've notice the price fluctuates a lot for these speakers. I got them for $120 on Amazon, and was very impressed with the sound for the price.
I have the 8" speakers in my living room and the 6" in my kitchen.
Installation was as easy as tracing a circle in the ceiling, cutting and feeding the wires from the volme control. I was done in an hour and they sound great

I got these speakers with the expectation that they would crank in the kitchen when I am blasting speakers in the living room. Well, they play alright, but they are not high-fidelity at all. The treble is good, the base is good, but the midrange is absent. They sound like speakers - instead of music. You know what I mean? great speakers should kinda be invisible and all you should hear is the music. (Like a nice dress should bring out the beauty of the woman - not the other way around) Anyway, these speakers are OK for the money, but with the JBL brand name behind them, I expected more.
