It does what it is supposed to do especially for the price. It holds the position that you put it in and it lights up the KB enough to work in total darkness.

From time to time I had to do work with my laptop until the wee hours & my wife would get upset most of the time as she would not able to sleep properly as I was using the room main light or even a small table/study light it was still too bright, thus affecting her sleep.

Good thing I found this laptop USB light. It's a perfect solution for my problem. Now I can work on util very late at night without worrying about my wife's sleep. It's a great device for a small pric eto pay. It's very light & easy to carry around or store in my laptop bag.

Regarding the bright single beam...I did a bit of adjustment to the flexible neck at an angle that would give me the best result for my overall keyboard. It's not perfect but I'm not nitpicking. The device serves its purpose well.

This is a standard white light LED on the end of a flexible snake. When I want to work on my laptop when the lights are off because others want to watch TV, it's perfect.

I ordered 2 Mini USB LED Lamp Light Flexible Travel for PC Notebook. Both arrived with numerous deep cracks covering each bulb that considerably obstructed the light. The outer packaging (consisting of a plastic cover and slide-through stiff paper backing), as well as the box the items were delivered in had no damage, indicating the lights were broken before they were shipped. The construction felt sturdy, but without properly functioning lights, the items were worthless. I returned them and was initially only refunded less than half of what I paid, after spotting the wrong amount on my bank statement, I contacted Amazon customer service, which promptly refunded the balance owed.
