Broke after 2 uses!!!!!!!!!!!

I was hospitalized and wanted to watch a movie. 30 minutes into the movie the speakers started a high pitch whine then went mute. I haven't been able to get any sound out of them since. Walmart couldn't accept it back for an exchange. They don't carry the model anymore-SHOCKER!!! I'm stuck with a worthless DVD player and have to get my mom a replacement one. I'll never buy a Maganavox product again, thats for sure! Be smart and buy another brand. THANKS MagnaSUCKS!

Great buy for the money
(5 out of 5) by J. Jones on Apr 3, 2005 (Missouri)I bought this dvd player at wal-mart for under $200 with the case. Granted, the case isn't great but it will certainly do the job. It is easy to use for both my son and I and so far seems pretty durable. I've been researching these portable players for about 6 months and this is one that can't be beat.

Piece of crap
(1 out of 5) by Sandi on Feb 19, 2005 (Boston, MA)Worked for 1.5 days, then just stopped, despite the fact that we didn't drop it, spill anything on it, or otherwise do anything that could cause any damage! Tried using BRAND NEW DVDs, and it wouldn't play them. Don't waste your time or your money!!!

Bomb shizel my nizel.

To survive the trip my parents decided to get a portable dvd player.I watched movies on it in last night and it was excellent. It didn't skip one time and the picture was flawless. I couldn't tell you about the battery life because I had it plugged into the wall for the 3 movies that I watched.It wasn't all that loud, so if you are in a car with a few people in it you might want to get extra speakers.Over all this player is off the heezie fo sheezy my nizle frizle dawg for real.

(5 out of 5) by Amazon Customer on Jul 26, 2004Actully I dont own this yet but I will be getting it for my upcoming birthday!I am getting it because I trust magnavox.I actully use to have an audiovox d1708 but it was junk.On my audiovox it made a disturbing noise from the dvd player.The first time I saw it at Wal-mart I wanted it.Thank god for Walmarts "ALWAYS LOW PRICES",you get more what you pay for!whoever invented portable dvd players,thank you!
