It's a pain to have to turn this on and off manually. It sounds OK - about what you might expect for the price. I actually bought a Polk 10" for $100 on sale that beats the heck out of this one!
AWESOME SUB BEST FOR PRICE!
AWESOME SUB AND FOR THE PRICE CANT BE BEAT!! HUGE BASS < ENOUGH TO HOLD UP IN MY 20 x 16 FOOT ROOM GREAT GREAT DEAL!!
Good for making a small system seem big
I bought this relatively inexpensive subwoofer to add an a Panasonic DVD Changer bi-amplified mini system, and connect it to the variable subwoofer output on the mini system. It adds depth and volume that works well in my large family room. It sounds deeper and tighter than a lot of the inexpensive surround systems that I've heard. I think it sounds at least as good if not better than my neighbor's Bose 2.1 system at 2/3rds the price including the a more capable mini system and the subwoofer.
There are simply two controls; volume and a crossover which lets you tune the system so it adds bass to where the mini system speakers lack. Initially I had to mess with the crossover and volume systems to give the system a "non-directional" quality so that I could not pin point where the bass was coming from. Once I worked that out, I was able to control the amount of bass from the mini system remote. I use this control to give the system more boom for movies and less bass for music.
For the price, I couldn't be more pleased with the addition to the system, although at some point, I will probably more it to a bedroom and get a more advanced surround system. I used to have a very intricate full range speaker system with expensive components, but the quality of mini system has improved so much that adding this subwoofer makes it hard to tell the difference.

economical subwoofer
A low price subwoofer that meets all of my sound requirements. As much extra bass as I need while not overly large in size. Easy hookup.made this a good choice.
very good match for my players, a great Value too!
Been using with for just a month and its been pretty cool and good, 5 stars, because its a great match for my small initial DMA-710 DVD player, either im using my PS2, Drum Pads and plainly listening to my musics, its very good, it gives a rich thick bass thumpin' that makes my music more alive. Great Value for the money indeed, no doubt. Thanks.
