I use my laptop for long periods both at home and during travel, and after about 20 minutes it gets hot enough I have to start moving it around. On my last flight it got hot enough I managed to scorch my Dockers! Needless to say, as soon as I got home I started looking for a solution. I didn't want anything with fans or cables (my battery runs down quick enough as is) and LapLogic looked to be the only place that had a solution with real test data behind it. I spent a fair amount of time reading about things on their website (which is very extensive, they appear to be the leaders in the area of laptop heat protection) and finally settled on the T550, so I could roll it up during flights.
Mine shipped the same day, and I got it a couple of days later. I was quite surprised by how good it looked (much better than the pictures - the metallic accents are high-tech cool, but not gaudy) and how well made it was. I immediately stuck it under my laptop and went to work to find - to my complete amazement - that I didn't feel any heat at all from my laptop after 2 hours of non-stop work! I've since used it on a long flight and the no-slip surfaces are a god-send - I didn't have any shifting at all, even during a bumpy thunderstorm. I fold mine, and it's small enough that it slides into my carry bag pouch without a problem.
Bottom line - EXCELLENT product! I'd highly recommend it to anyone with a laptop - once you use it, you'll never put it down!
