I know very little about home theater and I am by no means one of these guys who spends thousands of dollars on home entertainment. What i do know, however, is that this system, despite it's size, pumps out HUGE sound. Movies I haven't watched in years seem to come alive. I spent several months researching various home theater systems and finally decided on this one, mainly because of it's price, size, and incredible wireless surround speakers, that happen to work flawlessly. It took me a few hours of playing around to get the hang of all the features, but make no mistake, when setup correctly, this thing rocks! My wife and I rented Hostage the other night and it felt as if we were part of the movie. With the bass cranked 1/4 up, our living room shook with each action sequence. Ok, so the living room didn't actually shake. But, seriously, forget the movie theater. The dialogue is crystal clear, the bass is DEEP and rich, and several times, thanks to the wireless surround, I could have sworn someone was sitting next to me on the sofa! Ok, so it makes movies come alive. How about CD's and the radio? This thing really does hold its own. CD's and the radio sound crisp and clear and the surround speakers give a nice "wrap around" effect. Honestly, I couldn't be happier with this gem. If you already have a DVD player (not included), refuse to run surround sound speaker wire all over your living room, and want an all out awesome movie experience, pick this baby up!!! You'll love it!
