Poor Installation Guide
The installation guide did not include Vista instructions. I could communicate with the device or the internet, but not both. After 2 hours of fiddling with IP addresses and adding/deleting printer drivers over and over, I finally needed to call tech support. They were patient and got to the bottom of the issue. Now the device works. Overall, it seems to be a good product, but the installation guide could use some work.

Not Easy to configure
Print server requires fairly in depth knowlage to set up. After setting ip address and being able to ping the address. I could still not get my offices printer to work properly. Even worse the support from D-link support was poor to say the least. I returned the item and bought a hp printer that had a nic port included in printer

Works Well and Somewhat Easy to Us.
It took me about two hours to install, because my network was using a different network class instead of the class that the DLINK was installed in. I had to follow the DLINK instructions to first talk to the device by changing the TCP/IP settings on my computer. I then set the DLINK address to 168.192.1.X to match the defaults used by my LINKSYS router. Unfortunately the instructions don't really deal with this nor do they mention that you should reset your TCP/IP configurations back on your computer when you are all done. Other then that it works great but I could see if you aren't very technical savy, you could have some problems.

Doesn't work on Windows Vista or Windows ME, but it does on XP
This seems to be a good product, if you are using Windows XP. It worked well on my XP machine on my home network, but wouldn't work on my machines using Windows ME or Windows Vista. I learned this sad fact after spending too much of my time with D-Link Tech Support. Fortunately, Amazon refunded my money and paid for the return freight. After returning the D-Link DP-301P+, I used a Hawking HPS1P Print Server for my Windows Vista and Windows XP machines, and upgraded my ME to XP, which works well. The Hawking HPS1P doesn't support Windows ME either, unless you are willing to downgrade the firmware, which probably won't work for Vista applications.
D-Link DP-301P+ 10/100
My network card in my printer recently stopped working. Instead of changing the internal network card, I decided to get this print server instead and installed it and worked like a charm.
