Bought this refurbished about three months ago. Has been a good computer, runs all software I have loaded onto it.
Some caveats:
Get the recovery disks from HP or make recovery DVDs when you first get the computer. The recovery partition on the hard drive gets corrupted after a while.
There are no fewer than 10 major applications on the computer that do nothing but try to sell you stuff. They bog down your computing unbelievably. I thought this computer was very slow until I got rid of this stuff. Specifically, delete HP Organizer and disable HP Updates. Also get rid of spam blocker, and anything else you don't need. After you do that, the computer flat SCREAMS. Faster than the Dell 3 GHz P4 at work! It boots in 17 seconds now, and I can backup a DVD and use Works at the same time with no apparent slowdown or glitches in either application.
As I say, it is a very good machine and has been reliable so far. Would give it 5 stars if it did not come with all the spamware.
