NOT A BAD TV !!!!
This is not a bad little TV. Keeping in mind that you need to pretty much be looking straight at the screen for optimal viewing. I like the fact that the screen swivels so that I can view it at any angle. I have it mounted under the cabinet in my kitchen and viewing is terrific at the 6-10 ft that I watch it from. The volume is great. I'm glad I opted for the 7" screen as opposed to the 5" screen. I don't think I would want one any smaller than 7". The only complaint that I have found so far is that I am one of the few people who exist out there who does not have cable, satellite dish, etc.... That's right I watch the 3 basic channels. So keep in mind if you are like me, this item does not come with an antenna. You are supposed to plug in cable or whatever you have. So I had to take a small antenna off of a 13" TV and put it inside the cabinet and run the wire to it. This works fine. Sometimes I have to open the cabinet and adjust the small rabbit ears, but this is a small price to pay for having TV while cooking. This item does have a small radio antenna that comes with it. All in all, I love this item and have really enjoyed it. I have not tried the telephone function yet. And I have not yet tried to plug in a DVD to the A/V plug. I'll try to update if I do.
UPDATE: I just tried plugging in a small DVD player to this Under the Cabinet TV and it works great. With the widescreen version of most DVD movies, however, you are only viewing approximately 5" instead of 7". But this DVD option does work well.

Disappointed
I purchased this as a gift to my wife to replace the clock radio we currently have in the kitchen. Mounting the unit was simple enough. Connecting up to my cable system seemed to work, but the viewing angle for the TV seems pretty limited and the sound was not very good. I connected the FM radio antenna and the reception and sound quality for the radio was terrible. Our old clock radio was much better. I also don't like the fact that the TV always comes on when you turn on the power - I might like to go straight to the radio, but that doesn't appear to be an option. I should have heeded the reviews I read stating this product is flakey. I guess the technology for this type of thing just isn't ready for prime time yet. I returned the unit.

Love the VE700
I purchased the VE700 about a year and a half ago and mounted it under a cabinet in our kitchen next to the computer. I LOVE it. I agree, its not ideal for walk around viewing but for working on the computer and not missing your favorite shows, its ideal. My sis in law saw it and bought one which she mounted in her computer armoire. She loves it too. It takes up no space and folds out of the way. For the money, I think its a good buy. Spend 3-5 times as much to get one you can see across the kitchen I guess.

I really wanted to give this NO STARS!
I bought this TV for my husband four months ago, so now it is out of warranty. We have had problems with it right from the start that we have always been able to fix but now it is completely unusable. I emailed tech support with our current problem and they told me in order to fix it it has to be sent in. The cost for this is $135, almost the purchase price. So basically, we bought a TV for four months and now we need a new one.
