Note the 90 degree plug

(4 out of 5) by J. VanDyke on Feb 20, 2009
When buying this cable, note that one end has a 90 degree angled plug. This can be either an advantage or problem depending on the available space in your machine. In my case it made connecting two adjacent cables somewhat challenging.

What went wrong?

I ordered the L cable, and got a straight cable, either no one is paying any attention to the shipping, or they need to stop false advertising the L cables, when they are really selling a straight, oh and by the way, the cable was broken by the time i got it!! i do fully expect my money back! with shiping!

Great Cables, shipping bad..

The cables are great, the 90 degree angle allows them to fit in my case better. My HDD mounts with the back toward the door so having the cable angle down keeps it out of the way of my door.

The shipping was terrible. I ordered these from Amazon because of normally fast shipping. When I ordered them, the delivery date was 10 days away. I got other cables since that was too far away from when I needed them. They were delivered in 14 days. I could have walked them here from where they were shipped. Maybe they did...

Sata Cable, easy to use.

I've typically not used SATA cables in the past, mostly owning the older parallel cable type, with jumpers to set and figure out. This was very straight forward, although you do have to look at the alignment at the end of the connector to plug it in correctly. Other than that, it went fine. Powered up and recognized the drive right away. I'm satisfied.

It works.

What can I say? It's a cable. Bought it for use with a new hard drive. As of the posting of this review, it's been working fine for a month now.
