VERY GOOD FOR THE PRICE

(2 out of 5) by Scout Leader 118 on Mar 19, 2007
My Midland WR-100B weather radio with SAME is a great upgrade from the old style radios. Very good value of safety for the price. The company I work also bought one of these this year. Being able to select particular counties make it great for emergancy prepardeness.

Not Happy!!

(1 out of 5) by Phillip G. Bannen on Oct 25, 2007 (Florida,usa)
When I bought this it never said in the item description that it would not receive if I had a metal roof. I had to buy an external ant and I still don't receive the signal very well, and I only live 45 miles from the national weather service. I would not buy it again.
P.B.

(5 out of 5) by Kevin Simmons on Jul 2, 2006
last year in the summer time there was a tsunami warning for the westcost i live in wa. state and there was no warning at all it came on tv be for the emergencie crews new. my neighor has a noaa radio and he was the one who told us. there was no warning no one new no one. we have sirens in my town to tell every one to get out of town and we heard nothing at all it is vary scary when the people that should know dont. so i got this radio and i can say that i feel a lot safe and i all so know if it comes in the middle of the night i will have some time to get to higher ground we also get 90 mp winds here. it is a good little radio buy it you will sleep better

All I get is static - terrible reception

(1 out of 5) by clarita davies on Apr 29, 2008 (Seattle, WA)
I was able to set up the radio ok, but I can't get any reception at all. I've walked all through my house and all around the outside of my house and can't pick up anything. Terrible reception. This model is going back.

Broken within 2 weeks

(1 out of 5) by J. W. Dowell on Mar 5, 2007 (Austin,TX)
2 weeks after buying it the antennae broke off while I was adjusting it. It hasn't worked since. It also doesn't stay on via DC adaptor. Only through the batteries which drained with 48 hours.
I was very dissappointed with this product.
