Great receiver

(5 out of 5) by B. Hughes on Nov 21, 2004 (Portland, OR USA)
I've had the JVC Sirius receiver for about 6 months now and have had no problems with it. I like the large screen and the feel of the buttons. Easy to see and use while driving.

JVC ROCKS!

(5 out of 5) by Larry Woods on Nov 17, 2004 (Rochester NY)
Wow is this unit nice, like a PDA for Satellite Radio. Sirius is the best service, used to have XM but switched when they added NFL coverage, I will be a life long sub!!

Do not buy this receiver

(1 out of 5) by Tommy Yeargin on Aug 6, 2004 (United States)
It went dead after only three months. The number I called for warranty repair/replacement kept redirecting me to repair centers all over the country.

Finally, I got an answer--mail it to service center somewhere in Illinois (I pay the postage), and it will take four to six weeks to get a new receiver. Which means you will have to pay to have the new one activated, not knowing if it will fail in three months AGAIN, and...

Anyway, you get the picture. Just trust me--don't buy it.

Thing is built like a Tank!

(4 out of 5) by T. Lavigne on Sep 14, 2005 (Vermont)
I have had this receiver almost a year and have dropped it three times on pavement and it still works! The other day it slipped out and the top actually split open, and then I heard something rattling inside. I thought for sure it would never work again but it does with no problems. I have not even replaced the remote batteries yet!

I drive truck at night and have a cradle for it in each of my personal vehicles so it gets alot of use.

The only thing I do not like is the red colored screen. It is hard to read especially at night in the dark. Would of been better to have the font black instead of light colored or the whole thing blue. It is a little large but I like the larger buttons rather than small.
