Useless

(1 out of 5) by G. Mayer on May 23, 2004 (Somerset, NJ United States)
This is amazingly useless. The black light is nice and attracts bugs from all around, but the zapper is so weak, the bugs crawl across the wires with no harm done. Piece of junk.

great product for killing mosquitoes

(5 out of 5) by Darren John-Baptiste on Jul 14, 2004 (St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands)
I was suprised at the other reviews this product got, but I do understand why. I use this product solely indoors to control mosquitoes and it works great. I've never used it outdoors because I have another similar zapper that's meant for outdoor usage. The latter product I would never consider bringing indoor because it makes way to much noise and you can actually hear bugs lizards etc. actually getting fried.

This product however works silently and does an excellent eliminating mosquitoes in our three bedroom home. I live in the caribbean by the way, where mosquitoes are an everyday problem.

How do you change the bulb?

(3 out of 5) by Richard J. Riker on Sep 25, 2005 (Southampton, NJ USA)
This is a handsome rechargeable battery indoor bug zapper which does work as an indoor bug killer. The problem is that it is a sealed unit. I purchased two units and within two weeks the bulb burned out on one unit. I can find no instructions on how this bulb can be changed. Without the bug-attracting light, the unit simply does not work.

Sunbeam Bug Zapper

(5 out of 5) by L. Barella on Apr 22, 2005 (SoCalif)
I love this Zapper. I get all kinds of bugs stuck in it. When the light died after about a year,I could really tell the different without it. I will never be without one. Even though I have to replace it every two years. The light lasts about 1 year and Sunbeam says they warrantee it for two.

Works

(4 out of 5) by Consumer on May 17, 2006 (Orlando, Fl United States)
I have a different model of the same product and it works pretty good. It kills a lot of bugs. I had it for a year and the bulb burned out. I was able to open it and now I am looking to buy a replacement bulb. I like the small spacing of the grid because it captures even the smallest insects. I tried the stinger but its large grid spacing zapped only huge bugs and left smaller ones hanging around.
