Atlantic CD Storage Cylinder

(5 out of 5) by Big Mike on May 20, 2005 (Southwestern USA)
I purchased this about a week ago and it has definately helped me organize my CD's I use in and around my computer. It fits in the hutch on top of my desk with about 6 inches to spare. It feels and appears to be extremely well-made. The "lid" opens quite easily and quickly. It is stackable with other CD Cylinders of the same size/capacity. It comes with about 5 tabs to organize CD's by any grouping you decide. I am very pleased with this product and see it as a solid buy if you're looking to organize your CD collection. This also came with a wallet that you can put the detatchable sleeves from the canister into if you're looking to take some CD's with you. Great buy!

Great for computer users!

I was hoping to find a CD caddy much like the old 5 1/4 floppy disk organizers from ages ago (floppy? what's a floppy?) and finally happened across this CD drum. It locks- that's the first big plus for me. Sure the key is simple and matches every other case out there but it deters 3-7 year old grubby fingers (my CDs' biggest foes!) Secondly, it's quite easy to flip through and has handy dividers and 'place savers' to help organize. I love the stackability feature (up to four drums)- we only need one now but I think I'd like another for video games and another for music or DVDs. They also don't look half bad so I'm not trying to find a cabinet to hide that old shoebox full of assorted CD cases like before. The removable sleeves pop in and out easily- no fussing with fitting them back in place or risking CD breakage trying to torque the things out. The only drawback is that it looks so cool, my kids won't leave it alone.

It's just like what I wanted.

Been looking for a CD drum like this for years and finally here it comes. It's just like what I wanted.

Pros:
A solid shell made of quality plastics. With robber boots it doesn't slide on the desk.
Rotary cover snaps on/off was so easy that I can operate it with one hand.
Holds a lot CDs. I didn't count whether it actually holds 100, but it still had a lot empty slots after I put all my driver CDs, backup CDs, game CDs, software CDs in it.
It's stackable, but I won't need a second in near future because a single one can hold so much.

Cons:
None so far, and I don't think I will have any.

Overall, this CD drum is for someone need quick access to a number of CDs. If you got more than 50 computer CDs in your drawer, it's the one for you.

I bought one from Staples several months ago. I absolutely love it - easy to flip through, and the travel wallet is so convenient to grab a few movies to bring along on a trip. It looks good, easy to open and use, and easy to take movies with you. I am buying another one!

GREAT PRODUCT

(5 out of 5) by Rachel Reese on Nov 9, 2007
This is a great product to have because it can hold up to 100 DVD'S/MUSIC CD'S. I brought 2 of these because I had the notebook kind of holder but the zipper busted, so instead of buying another cd notebook I decide to get these, and if you but more than one they can stack on top of each other. I recommend people to buy this because it is a great product.
