Garbage
Ok what a great idea hard drives you can stack and not have to add more plugs to each hard drive, a great feature considering i'm almost out of USB ports and i already have 2 surge protectors pretty much filled. So i bought one of these and it worked great for about 3 weeks and then the fan started making a horrible screaming noise, i figured it was a once in a blue moon problem, so i exchanged it for another one and also bought another one at the same time because i needed more space. Well about a month went by and one of them crashed and cost me about 45gbs worth of data, then about a week after that the remaining acomdata hard drive started making the same fan noise as the 1st one i returned so i went out and bought a 200gb maxtor, which is wonderful, and started transferring everything off of the acomdata with the fan problem before that crashed like the other one, and it had about 109gbs worth of data on it and it would only transfer like 2gbs before my computer just quit reckognizing it as a drive, so i had to shut it off and try again, took me about 3 days to do a 3 hour job. Never ever buy this product, i took one apart and found out the hd was made by samsung. So now im trying to get my money back from acomdata, i can understand a faulty product here and there but when you purchase 3 of the same product and they all go bad, that is just rediculous. Now i have $400 worth of completely usless hds just collecting dust.

Piece of Junk
This drive has been intermittent from day one. Works for a while, then freezes Windows XP. Tried changing USB cables. Tried it on different computers. It is just plain garbage. Would not reccomend under any circumstances. Very unhappy customer.

Fantastic!!!!
I have several Maxtor hard drives and have power cords and usb cords EVERYWHERE!! My husband gave me a rocketpod for Christmas and I was so impressed that I ran out and got another one. I have both 120gb drives almost full and they stay connected to my computer and on all the time. They both work great and I am getting ready to buy another one. I love the fact that it reduces the number of cords and cables I have! LOVE it!!
A life saver
We bought two of these for the office after our hard drives crashed and use them to back up weekly. What a life saver, using Norton Ghost 9.0 in about 30 mins my entire computer is backed up and easily restored.
Other reviewers seem to be using these for regular drives and having problems but I love mine and would buy another if needed.

Customer Service
I bought the Rocket Pod to help store work data on. It was working great for awhile. The greatest thing since sliced bread. And then one day i come into work and it has stopped working. So I go to their website to try and get some technical support. To be able to get to technical support first you have to register the product. Okay not a big deal. Twenty minutes later, i'm still filling you a survey of my computer type and usage type and am no closer to technical support. Finally i get through all that, fill out my request for help and am told that i will get a response in three buisness days. I don't have time for them to take three days to get back to me, so i go looking for a phone number to call. The phone number is no longer in service. So before you buy this product, you might look for a company that has a little better customer service.
