I had trouble finding 8X DVD's locally, most are 16X or above. My wife has a Roadstor DVD writer which cannot handle the faster DVD's. So, I was happy to find them online through one of the Amazon sub-tier suppliers. Two 50PK's arrived in a few days in good condition; the box was somewhat crushed but the DVD's were OK. A little extra packaging material around the DVD cases would be good.

My DVD recorder requres only 8X DVD-R discs which are hard to find. Amazon.com is my choice for these discs. Excellent quality MAXELL discs which record and play beautifully on my Sony DVD recorder/player. Recommend highly.

Maxell 8X DVD-R discs worked perfectly on my Samsung DVDR120 DVD recorder when I first purchased it. By the time I ran out of the first 100 discs, the only ones available in stores were 16X. No thanks to Samsung, I realized that the 16X discs were the reason that no matter what brand I bought, the recorder didn't recognize the blanks. These 8X discs, while a little pricier than the sales in stores, resolved the problem. I just hope they remain available as long as my recorder continues to work.

A good clean burn everytime. I used to use the Princo disc, though they were good I would often get bad burns. These cost a little more, but they are worth the price.

I'm very pleased with this purchase and its nice having a blank surface on which to write titles and notes
