Adobe Photoshop CS is a fantastic program, a must for any graphics designer, webpage designer, editor, ect.
It helps to have a little background info on how to create graphics but this is for the more advanced user.
Great program though a bit expensive.

Well what can I say? This is an excellent program, no matter what way you look at it. True, there isn't much difference between this and 7.0, but if you do not currently have a Photoshop, this is the one to get. With a few added features and effects and such, it is a slight upgrade. I received Photoshop as part of the bigger suite, but I mainly use this. There is quite a learning curve to it, and it will take weeks of messing around to unearth the true potential of Photoshop. Nevertheless, it is an excellent program, and can be used for a variety of things, such as photo manipulation, site layouts, graphics, and banners. I would recommend this to anybody who is in need of a decent design program and doesn't already have one.

While it's true the cost of this software may be a bit high for scrapbooking parties, the intention of the software is for designers...mainly professional. I've used PhotoShop for about 6 years now and have upgraded to CS2 and I love it. It's not difficult to learn if you understand what it is you want to do with the program. A great book to help teach PhotoShop is Adobe PhotoShop CS Classroom in a Book. There is a whole series of these that walk you through some general and not-so-general examples to help you get better aquainted with the software. From photo manipulation to greating your own graphic, the possibilities are endless.

I purchased the old version of Photoshop CS because I had upgraded my computer from the original photoshop 3 with upgrades. After having my computer crash from an automatic upgrade they had to reinstall the operating system. My photoshop upgrade would not work. A big mess.
I recommend buying stand alone programs, not upgrades after this. Needless to say I like Photoshop CS.

What can I say about Adobe Photoshop CS. I would have to say if the dog is man's best friend, then Adobe Photoshop is man's best 2d graphic photoshop application a Graphic Artist can have. :)
