A must have for new parents

(5 out of 5) by Heather on Dec 1, 2007 (San Pedro, CA USA)
I love, love, love this product! I am such a nervous first-time mom and this monitor has helped me relax a little bit. I bought this when my son was 7 weeks old and at that time I couldn't bear to put him to sleep without me constantly staring at him to make sure he was still breathing. After I set up the monitor and checked it to make sure it was working, I put him to bed and I finally got myself some sleep!! I'm constantly reassured that it is working because sometimes in the middle of the night, I take him out to nurse him and forget to turn the monitor off and within 15 seconds it makes it's first warning beep. I had already had a video monitoring system, but you can't always see the breathing movements with that, so this has really given me some piece of mind. My son is now 6 months old and I still use it for every nap and at night. I even pack it up and take it with me when we visit the grandparents. I've never had a false alarm and I regularly check it to make sure that it will alarm. The ceiling fan is the only thing that causes the monitor to sense "movement" but only if the fan is on the high setting, so I never turn the fan up that high. I just can't imagine anyone NOT wanting this monitor!!

Gave me my sanity back!!!

(4 out of 5) by A. Nagel on Oct 14, 2007
Prior to buying this monitor, I was up constantly checking my son's breathing. He is a very heavy sleeper and I was always worried he had stopped breathing. Though this is not a "medical" device and cannot prevent SIDS, it gave me peace of mind knowing the monitor would go off if my child stopped moving for over 20 seconds.
Since having the monitor I have slept MUCH better. The alarm has only gone off a couple times and I think it was because he moved over to the edge of the crib off the pad. Or maybe he really did stop breathing and the alarm caught it and I shook him gently and roused him from it. I don't know. All I know is that I can sleep better having this monitor and whether it actually DOES anything or not, that is enough for me.

Peace of mind

(5 out of 5) by Ex Jo'burg Girl on Oct 7, 2007 (San Francisco, CA, USA)
My baby had lung complications at birth and was on oxygen for a few days before she was able to come home. I was so worried about her at night that I would wake up and check she was breathing every so often. However, after getting the monitor, I felt more relaxed as I knew that I would be alerted if there was a problem. Worth every penny for peace of mind!

Every new mom needs this!

(5 out of 5) by T. Mathews on Sep 12, 2007
There isn't anything I'd wrather give to a new mom, than this amazing piece of mind. This is the best monitor anyone could ever own. Not only can it be used as a monitor, it's use as a motion sensor is second to none.
I bought one 5 years ago, with my last child who had reflux. It gave me great piece of mind while he slept b/c I positioned him on his stomach to sleep.

The same is now true of my newest addition, and once again, the angelcare comes thru!

I love this product

(5 out of 5) by Jean M. Temarantz on May 13, 2007 (PA)
I originally bought this same item for my son 4 years ago and it was worth every penny. The alarm went off ONE time when my son was only 6 months old and to this day I will never no if I could have possibly saved his little life. I just gave birth two weeks ago to another beautiful little boy and this monitor was the first thing I purchased. The only minor thing I had to change was that when our air conditioner was turned on it was simulating movement and even when the baby was out of the crib the alarm was not going off. (I found this out when my baby woke up for a midnight feeding and I forgot to turn off the monitor) I had to rearrange the bedroom/crib but the monitor now works correctly and I can now have a peaceful nights sleep. Again, this product is worth every penny!
