I'm Very Satisified With This Product

(5 out of 5) by Amazon Customer on Jan 16, 2004
I have been very satisified with this product. Mine was a refurbished unit. The picture is clear and the VCR and DVD work great. The remote is not perfect, but you can get used to it after awhile. My original remote arrived broken. I contacted Magnavox and they shipped another one overnight delivery. They didn't even make me return the broken remote. Customer service was excellent. If you're looking for a good, well priced TV/VCR/DVD combo, I would recomend this one.

Great Value

(4 out of 5) by Amazon Customer on Nov 30, 2003
This combo unit offers plenty of features for the price. I found it discounted for under $200. So far all is working well. It's a great space saver in a place like the bedroom and there is no clutter of cables and power cords because the unit is integrated. Sound and picture quality are good.

One nice feature is the DVD player's ability to read JPEG files allowing you to use the unit for slide shows of your favorite digital pictures.

Bad VCR

(1 out of 5) by R. Lindman on Aug 12, 2004 (Canton, MI)
I have had this TV for 7 months, and the VCR has destroyed at least 10 vcr tapes. The tape gets stuck inside while the cassette ejects. I contacted Mganavox and they were no help- watsted an hour of my day talking to them. Otherwise, the TV/DVD has been OK.

Perfect for Bedroom, space saving, but remote [is bad]!

(3 out of 5) by Michelle Thompson on Nov 30, 2003 (Novato, CA United States)
The other reviewer's complaint is all about his defective remote, and says nothing about the television/dvd/vcr. Our remote works fine, although I think they could have placed the channel and volume buttons in a better spot. Also, the buttons are almost all the same size and in near perfect rows and columns, which makes you need to look closely to see what you're pressing. Some remotes make the volume/channel changers in a diamond shape and larger than the other buttons and this is what they should have done here. A poor remote makes surfing, or watching two shows at once, a pain in the rear. This TV doesn't have a 'last channel' button, so you can flip back and forth between two channels.

The tv picture is fine, clear, no waviness. So far the DVD and VCR work well and the sound is good. I haven't purchased any other combo's before, so I can't compare. Still, I'm a person that tends to return things at the drop of a hat if I'm not wholly satisfied, and I'm returning this due to the pain in the rear remote and lack of 'last channel' feature, which I tend to use often.

DON'T MAKE MY MISTAKE!!!!!

(1 out of 5) by Amazon Customer on Oct 15, 2003
DO NOT BUY THIS TV. It came with a defective remote and the remote is required to set up the TV unless (as they say, but who knows?!?) you purchase extra cables. Customer Service (NOT!!) is not authorized to overnight a replacement remote so it will take at least seven business days to receive a new one. And what happens if that one is defective? Theresa in Customer Service even implied that since they didn't ship the item, Magnavox isn't really responsible for "what could have happened" to the remote. What a shame. Magnavox used to be such a fine company.
