Very Nice LCD Flat Screen - But don't count on your rebate

(4 out of 5) by Ryan Smith on Oct 15, 2003 (Phoenix, AZ United States)
TV is great, can be used with PC, DVD, Cable TV, etc... Resolution for PC isn't outstanding but good enough. Do not count on getting a rebate; I submitted all paper work and UPC symbols etc... called the company after about 8 weeks and they said there were no UPC symbols in the envelope. There were actually 2 UPC symbols, one from each side of the box... oh well. Still can't beat the deal even if Nexvision is a shady company.

Update to my earlier review; even better

solution to quirk where "searching for input" occurs: the default setting is auto for NTSC vs PAL. if there is the slightest pause in signal (directv does this), the monitor goes looking for the input. This completely cleared up when I changed the auto setting to NTSC. Now this set is truly perfect. Highly recommended for under kitchen cabinet TV viewing; you'll make the neighbors envious. Pair this with a MX-500 remote (~80 bucks) that you can program with macro settings and you've got awesome kitchen viewing without sacrificing your kitchen counter space. we replaced a fat 13" sony with this and got our counter back- priceless!

AWESOME

THIS LCD PANEL IS WELL BUILT AND THE PICTURE IS EXCELLENT. COMPARED TO OTHER MAJOR LCD COMPANIES, THIS UNIT STACKS UP GREAT. 22" AT THIS PRICE POINT IS UNBEATABLE.

El cheapo...

We bought 2 of these Real Digital monitors for my Mac G5 dual-monitor editing system at work. The resolution on them is absolutely horrible. At the end of each day I feel like I'm about to go blind. On the higher resolution settings, you cannot read the type because the pixels bleed together. On the lower resolution settings, the aliasing and jagged edges harken back to the days of Mac Classic. If you are considering buying this particular monitor for use with a computer, you'd be better off throwing your money out the window. We decided to return them and spring for Mac-brand flat-panel monitors. The difference is astonishing.

Real Digital RD2200 PC "driver" / Review

(5 out of 5) by J. Hinkle on Jul 25, 2004
Bought this monitor about 6 months ago and im really happy with it. I got a great price off this website. I use it with windows media center and when i hooked it up and ran the media center part it looked great but everything else like the windows desktop looked really grainy almost unreadable. After searching for a monitor driver because it simply installs "plug and play monitor i came up empty handed, nothing to be found" I figured out what you need to do is download a program called powerstrip, that allows you to tweak your settings to better suit this monitor. Using a page towards the back of the users manual that lists the monitors opimal frequency settings that cant be met using simply windows. After putting these settings into this program that runs at startup my desktop looks 5 times better than what it looks like when just plugging it in. Enjoy this great monitor
