Solid CD Player for the Price
(4 out of 5) by T. B. Vick on Jun 14, 2004 (The Lone Star State)For the price, this is one of the better portable CD Players. The player itself is an upgrade from the less fancy player (C3847).
It is CD-R/CD-RW, 8 times oversampling, random, repeat, headphones, 6 digit LCD display, 20 tracks with programming, skip, search, all of which is fairly common in players, but not at that price (at least when I have shopped around I have not found these features for less money on a portable player).
The player itself is sturdy and has taken some pretty hard bumps without skipping the CD - which was a big problem for portable players when they were first being made. Overall, I have been satisfied with my player. I recommend this product.

GPX Products Fail within 6 months
(2 out of 5) by Amazon Customer on Jul 10, 2004I have owned 3 different GPX products some lasted a month but most failed after 6 months. Including the unit they sent me to replace a defective product.

batterie problem
(4 out of 5) by Amazon Customer on Feb 14, 2005Worked well for about a week then it kept reading the batteries as being low, I put 3 new sets of batteries in the cd player only to get the same results. The cd player would short out while playing songs because it would keep reading low power. Seems like a good cd player but its performance is iffy.
