Very disappointed

(3 out of 5) by D. Lussier on Jul 11, 2008
After reading positive reviews of this product, and the Water Pik which is less expensive and has awful reviews, I decided to go with this product.
It is a piece of junk, it's battery operated and I was under the impression that it was a rechargeable unit, I guess because the cheaper Water Pik is rechargable. So on top of the more expensive price, you can expect to replace 2 AA batteries every month.
It's very unwieldy to use and cheaply made. I wish now that I'd taken my chances with the Water Pik, which is less expensive but rechargeable.
Plus, it only has one head so you can't even share it. Wasted $30 on this.

Phillips Sonicare Sonic Toothbrush

(5 out of 5) by Grandpa-1 on Mar 28, 2008 (Chicago Area)
Outstanding product. I bought it for my wife who has only used manual toothbrushes in the past and finally decided to "take the plunge." It is so great, that I plan to purchase one for me (to replace my older Braun 2-speed Oral B). The Phillips has a built-in UV Sanitizer (I don't know how well it works, but use it anyway), is higher pitched sound (which, I am told by my dentist, is patented at the best sonic pitch). I can also take the additional portable re-charger on long trips. The Braun has such a large re-charger that, except for short trips which don't require re-charging, is impractical to take. Subjectively, I believe that the overall quality is better than the Braun. My dentist recommends it (but he also sells it at a profit, so I can't assume his "objectivity"). I give it 5 stars.

Panasonic EW1270AC Portable Oral Irrigator

(4 out of 5) by Agatha Darling on Mar 26, 2008 (Clarence Center, NY)
The packaging of this product was so difficult that I severely cut
my wrist trying to cut into the bubble protector. I was trying to
open it with an exacto knife and it slipped. It cut over 1/2 inch
and very deep and I am on a blood thinner, so it was very scary.
Please try to do another type of wrap.

The product itself is wonderful.

cnp

I try for about a week, and I don't like that much. If the company makes a tip with smaller opening where it doesn't shoot out that much water (less messy job) and thus will also increase the pressure, I don't mind to invest in the new tip and give it a try again.... That's just give me an idea; I'm going to reduce the opening of the tip with "crazy glue" and see how it works.
