Good knife

(5 out of 5) by N. Sisombath on Nov 9, 2009 (Las Vegas, NV)
I really like the feel of this knife. It's sold and balanced in when in use. It is a bit small so you might want to get a 8" knife or larger if you're going to be using this knife to do a lot of chopping and or slicing. It's sharp enough to cut through most anything you will be cooking and the feel is the best part. It makes slicing and chopping a joy. It's makes it even more of a pleasure to cook.

It's expensive, but like any quality product, it's worth it up front. Other than the price, I have no complaints about the knife, Wusthof makes some of the best knives on the planet and I doubt that you will be disappointed if you buy one, or a set. Very high quality of construction, full tang (solid metal through the handle), well balanced, substantial steel thickness.
Solingen Germany, where Wustof is based has been smithing metal for over 2000 years, and it shows in the Classic series.
Buy one, and don't lend it to anybody!!!

Use this precision German knife for chopping vegetables as well as cubing and slicing meats, poultry or fish. The oval indentations on its high-carbon steel blade reduce friction and minimize sticking. A full tang, riveted to the contoured polypropylene handle, guarantees peerless balance and control. 6" long blade.

Always use caution when handling sharp objects.
Hand wash with warm water and a mild detergent. Rinse and dry immediately.
Regular use of the honing steel maintains cutting edge.
Sharpen knives as needed. This can be done by a professional or at home, using a whetstone or a knife sharpener.
Avoid cutting on hard surfaces such as stone, metal or glass.
Store knives in a safe place to protect edge and prevent injury.
