Too much static

Based on reviews posted on Amazon, I purchased these speakers. Was very disappointed in the sound quality. A great deal of static / white noise.

Though I havent used these speakers, I've sent them to my mom, she is really happy with them, They are not only small and convinient but also offer an excellent quality of sound and if the batteries are new, they have a great sound output. The only thing I dont know is how long the batteries lost. But you could use an adapter to save on batteries.
