Excellent Product

(5 out of 5) by Richard J. Hamill Sr. on Nov 24, 2009
The speaker produces excellent sound quality at the range expected for a center speaker. It is comparatively large, so you might check the dimensions for your available space; this was not a concern for me.

This speaker is part of a 3.1 setup I am currently using; my next step would be to strongly consider BIC America Venturi DV64 2-Way Tower Front Speakers.

Improved movie sound 100%

The addition of this speaker to my 7.1 system has made a bigger difference than any other component. I am very happy with the speaker.

Damn good sound for cheap

I ordered this speaker just on the reviews alone and I agree with what was previously said already. Great speaker for the price. Solid build quality. No complaints except for the condition of the package. It looked beat up as if someone had tried, unsuccessfully, to open it already. I was tempted to just send it right back without opening it, but once I opened it, everything looked fine, and it all works just great. Excellent buy!!!

AMAZINGLY GOOD SPEAKER

(5 out of 5) by D. League on Aug 25, 2009 (Atlanta, GA)
BIC America DV-62CLRS 6 1/2 Inch 2-Way Center Channel Speaker Right off the top, I can say the DV-62CLRS is relentless in giving you what was recorded. It's accuracy is uncanny, ex: Norah Jones singing "Don't Know Why". This was so good it was worth listening to several times in a row. However, when she sang "Come Away With Me", it's obvious the mike was inferior and added hissing as her voice trails off. Also, in the "Staind" song "Tangled Up In You" the mikes were too close to the guitar, to the point I hear the fingers sliding around on the strings.

NOTE: The reviews of this speaker really need to be old and new, as the speaker sold now is in a smaller speaker box and uses 6 1/2 inch woofers, not 6 inch.
