I recently bought this center channel speaker and it is very nice. Very clear vocals and audio. It did sound a little bright to my ears so I gave it a good break in period which is all it needed. Now I love it. So if you do decide to buy one don't be quick to judge it's bright sound, break it in first. What I did was run some bass heavy music through it all day while I was at work. I did this for about a week. It took about 100 hours to get the full benefit from breaking in but it was worth it. The woofers are just too stiff when it's fresh out of the box.
Now it has very nice bass response. This center channel speaker could sell for over $200 and it would still be a good deal.

Saw the raving reviews here and decided to give it a try. What a huge difference it makes! It does not look too appealing though - the finish is more like dark ash wood grain, not black - but it just sounds wonderful! In movies it picks up a lot more dynamic range, like shattering glass, trigger clicking, finger gliding up and down guitar strings, etc. These details are played crisp and clear, which were all muffled by the old speaker. Now I really feel like I'm watching movies in a theatre.

This good experience also made me replace the Polk Audio M70 with the BIC DV64.

This center channel is a good deal. For the price, you just can't beat it! It can sound a little mid-rangy at times, but that could be my room acoustics too. It does deliver excellent voice reproduction, clear and crisp for movies. I would say it does not perform quite as well with music though. I have a set of older Infinity Sterling 2004 series speakers for the left and right mains and they sound a bit more natural. However, I think to beat the sound quality of this BIC you would have to spend at least $300 on a center channel speaker. Over all I am satisfied and will keep this one!

Two - BIC America Venturi DV64 2-Way Tower Speaker, Black

All these speakers are BLESSED by Ed Frias. He has magic in his hands(paid approx $600 for the speakers from Ed Frias) and they are AWESOME!!!! You should hear them to know what they can make you hear.

Initially when I used Onkyo, it was ok. But using the Audyssey showed me what the receiver can do and the Power of the Speakers.
Onkyo coupled with Speakers from Ed Frias is like a $3000 system for $700

Oh! and buy your cables from monoprice, they are good and cheap.

I did audition a lot of speaker for 1 year. I love vocals and was about to buy Magnapan speakers but had tough time with the budget. Finally, I was about to get Definitive Technology BP6 Tower Loudspeaker (Single, Black) and then I read the reviews of what ED FRIAS does to BIC speaker and for THAT price of $448, I took the risk of ordering it without hearing them.
Now I can say that BIC speakers are awesome!!! If you have a budget of $3000 or more and are into vocals then I would suggest Magnapan speakers (has 4 ohms resistence) with NAD AMP's. But if you want to build a sub $1000 system then ED FRIAS modifed BIC's are AWESOME!!

I have had these speakers for 4 months now. Took some adjustments on my Onkyo to get the bass correct. Now, I just love the amount of bass that this speakers have for music.

I wish the size of center channel was a little sleek.

I bought this center channel speaker a few months ago and i have no regrets, all i can say is it rocks ! the sound quality is awsome !
