Great Speaker !!

(5 out of 5) by TV Bug on Feb 26, 2009 (PA)
I replaced the Yamaha center channel speaker with this BIC DV-62CLR-S center channel speaker and the difference was dramatic. It is a great sounding speaker with exceptional clarity and has dual drivers which lends to an awesome sound.

Anyone who has an all-in-one Home Theater system should get this speaker as a center channel because the supplied speakers are of inferior quality.

Forget the well known branded speakers, this on beats them hands down. It has a genuine wooden enclosure unlike the particle board in others.

It is also much bigger in size, so make sure it will fit your stand !!

Great speaker

(5 out of 5) by Michael Swankhouse on Jan 14, 2009 (Denver, CO)
I just got this to add to my yahama home theater system. I sat down to watch Saving Private Ryan that I got for Xmas and this center channel is freaking awesome. It totally blows the Yamaha big box set center channel I had out of the water. I'll be getting me more of these BIC speakers for my system very soon.

Great Center Speaker

(5 out of 5) by Shawn Adams on Jan 6, 2009 (Odessa Tx)
Hey I can hear what people say now!! This speaker is really fantastic. It really has some surprising punch as well. The ONLY drawback is that it is a good sized speaker. If you have the room then by all means GET IT! You won't be disappointed. Not at it's price point...no way.

Sound Excellance for a Great Price

(5 out of 5) by R. Ordowich on Nov 15, 2008
With the purchase of a new Plasma TV I decided to replace the center speaker I have been using for over 15 years, a Klipsch. What a remarkable difference! Sounds are crisp and well rounded. I tried a number of movies and various surround sound decoding and each one rendered the sound remarkably. This was one of my best buys!

Does size matter?

(4 out of 5) by Michael S. Flak on Apr 24, 2008 (Herndon, VA)
Before I comment on the quality, you should know: THIS IS A BIG CENTER SPEAKER! About the size of a smaller wastebasket. If you're space-conscious, you should probably try the smaller model BIC...

The center channel is where a majority of the action happens when watching a movie or listening to music in 5.1 mode. If you were to make one upgrade in your setup, you get the most bang for the buck with the center.

Anyhow, big speaker, big sound. The sound is wide enough to create a convincing 'wall of sound' with the left and right fronts. With the separate woofers and tweeters, instruments are well-separated in the mix and also provide a pretty-sounding bass.

If you are an appreciator of audio and have a capable system, I would highly reccomend this as a purchase. I come from an 'all-in-one-home-theater' background, so hearing something with this much clarity and richness was new and quite noticeable.
