Pounds on Dec 12, 2006 (Rockford,Illinois)Mine had pixelating problems at first. but after a complete reading of instructions I found you can reset the chip by holding the stop button in for ten seconds until it reads "RESET" on display. Has not even flickered once since and I play DVD-R's for 4 to 5 hours at a time. If you buy this get the longest extended warranty you can.
