this wire is no monster (on your walet)

Yes, I did look at Monster Cable for my speaker wire, Monster is good quality after all, but ten bucks vs. sixty or so, what would you do?
And no I'm not sacraficeing a lot of quality in my sound: the gauge of wire is more inportant than who makes it, 16 gauge GE wire will sound better than 24 gauge Monster Cable wire.
I'm not saing you should buy lamp cord, if you have the money for Monster go for it, if not buy this.

Good stuff, good price

(2 out of 5) by Mr D on Nov 29, 2008 (NJ)I work with different gauges of wire, Mon thru Fri and have been for 14 yrs professionally and I can tell you as soon as I received the wire just from the weight of it I knew the gauge of the wire was not 16. I was always taught you get what you pay for so I settled for less and used it, but next time I will go to radio shack or any other retailer and buy exactly what I need no matter what it will cost me.
