Piece of Junk
I purchased this item and it stopped working in less than a week. What a complete piece of garbage. My guess is that water gets into it and causes it to stop working. If you take it out and let it dry for a few days, it'll work for a few minutes before taking another dump.

Not a durable product.
For the first few months I owned my shower radio I was quite pleased with the purchase. I received very good radio reception -- as good as my clock radio. However, after about three months it stopped working (I thought the batteries had run down). I purchased new batteries, but it no longer functions. I didn't notice anywhere that water had gotten into it... and I kept it in a place above the showerhead so any water that would have been on it was mostly condensation. Anyway... I'll not likely buy a CD player for my shower again and just stick to having one on the counter.

Keep the receipt if you buy this
Water got into this two days after I used it in the shower, and the clock was no longer visible.
I left it unused for two weeks, and the 6 C-batteries have run out.
Believe it or not, I believe I actually threw my receipt away when I got it! (That's why I'm anonymous.)

Why?????
Let me get this straight. It's an alarm clock for the shower? Who falls asleep in the shower? If you do fall asleep in the shower being late is the least of your problems. Maybe a gauze dispenser for patching up that cracked skull would be a bit more handy. How 'bout it Coby?
You Want Cheap?
This is a product of little quality. I heard handheld transistor radios in the 60's with better sound quality than this. The analog tuning knob is fairly sensitive. Mine doesn't get very wet, because I have it hanging behind me, away from the water flow. I must admit, though, based on what I've learned from the other reviewers, I am tempted to hold mine under a running shower, where I understand it will cease operating at once and then I'll have an excuse to go find something better.
