Outstanding!

Great product. I have owned three other detectors, but for features, portability, and accuracy, this is the best yet!

Very happy with the Escort

My previous detector was 8 years old and finally died. I got this one because it was one of the few detectors that was highly rated and battery operated. I use rechargeable batteries and a car recharger, that way I don't have any wires running down the dashboard.

The only issue has been that a couple of times the batteries have become 'unseated' and I have had to open it up and push the batteries back down. I don't know what causes this to happen but it has only occurred a couple of times and is not an issue.

Highly recommended!

Great product, needs better window suction cup system

(4 out of 5) by Jeffery Braun on Sep 24, 2009
This detector does everything a good portable one should. The battery life is great. I travel at least 3 times a month and pull this and my GPS out first thing when I hit the rental car lot. I have not put a battery in this detector in 3 months. It is good at detecting radar and has saved me a few times from sure tickets. There is only one thing it needs is a better suction cup system. My GPS has a real suction cup mount that sticks, this one falls off all the time, and if you get them just slightly bent in your suit case they will not stick. It would be a solid 5 star with a better suction cup mount. Still it is the best travel detector out there.

Expensive with below average performance

(2 out of 5) by Scott M. Mcmaster on Sep 15, 2009 (South Beach Fla)
I bought this for use with my car and motorcycle so needed a battery version. In the motorcycle it fits in a pocket and uses an earphone and can't get laser but all cruisers use radar here (Ontario) and stationary laser has no real defense.

I find that even on the highway I am seeing the cruiser often well before I get a signal - car or bike. I think they are using a very weak RF signal but even if they do the product should adjust or stop making claims.

Escort Solo S2

(5 out of 5) by Kenneth L. Hawkins on Aug 26, 2009 (Covina CA USA)
Received the product in a timely manner it was easily installed and paid off immediatley. Picked up a radar trap quickly and gave me time to slow down in a rapidly decreasing speeds in short distance. It paid for itself the first time out. I have had no problem with the windshield mount, I have used it in my car and truck with no problems.
