Short and simple, does the job, battery consumption greatly improved compared to other reviews I believe!
I like it. Can't compare with corded versions aas this is my first detector but gives ease of mind.

Love it!

(5 out of 5) by Beth on May 15, 2006 (North Carolina)
I have had this radar detector for about 2 months now and have just recently had to change the batteries for the first time. And I do a lot of driving. Plus it only takes 2 AAs (no big deal).
I love it because it is portable and easy to mount, the suction cups are strong. I can take it out and put it in whichever car I am driving that day. This is a great radar detector and I highly recommend it.

Outstanding!

Great product. I have owned three other detectors, but for features, portability, and accuracy, this is the best yet!

Very happy with the Escort

My previous detector was 8 years old and finally died. I got this one because it was one of the few detectors that was highly rated and battery operated. I use rechargeable batteries and a car recharger, that way I don't have any wires running down the dashboard.

The only issue has been that a couple of times the batteries have become 'unseated' and I have had to open it up and push the batteries back down. I don't know what causes this to happen but it has only occurred a couple of times and is not an issue.

Highly recommended!

Works very well, the only thing that I have noticed was loss of power sometimes. I think it is because of weather, because when I take out the batteries and and reinstall them it works fine.
