9 months and going strong

(5 out of 5) by Martin on Dec 21, 2004 (Portland, Oregon USA)
Well I have not had any problems like the other reviewers have had for this monitor. I picked mine up at BestBuy for $199 and think it is a great monitor. If I wanted an LCD to match this performance then I would have to spend at least 3x as much. This monitor works great for gaming with its UltraBrite mode. I upgraded from an 17" monitor and this just feels huge.

buying my second one now

(5 out of 5) by Shane Foster on Oct 13, 2004 (Baltimore, MD United States)
almost a year ago i bought this monitor to be used together with my dell in a dual monitor setup. right away this one took over as the primary. i love this monitor for gaming... the Ultrabrite toggle button is great for brightening up a dark FPS with the simple press of a button (no having to go into the game menu). Now im finally springing for a second one to completely replace my dell so that both monitors will match. I honestly could not ask for a better monitor. (well i guess if flat panels ever get to be responsive enough to game seriously with thatd be nice... but thats a ways off and out of the budget)

Nice overall

(4 out of 5) by Steven on Apr 27, 2003 (Kansas City, MO USA)
I've been using this monitor for about 3 months now. The picture quality is great and the UltraBrite mode is useful when gaming. There are, however, a couple things I don't like about it. 1) When the monitor is turned off, it will produce what sounds like audio feedback for a few minutes. It's not loud but it is disturbing the first time you hear it. 2) If you are a HAM radio operator who likes 2m, don't bring this monitor into your shack: It produces a lot of interference around 146Mhz..probably right on top of your favorite repeater output.

AWESOME!

I recieved this monitor for a graduation present from high school. I am currently in my Junior year of college and I haven't had a singe problem with it. On top of that, my parents have a model before this one and it yet to mess up on them. I can't say anything about customer support, but I haven't had a single problem with the monitor yet.

Amazing picture, amazing value

I have not experienced a single problem with this monitor, except for one... When I first got my new Mac Mini, the monitor would not wake up when I woke the Mac Mini up from sleep but a new power strip fixed that problem. The monitor was CHEAP ($179) and that is why I bought it, but it quickly made its way into my heart. I have owned it for a year and a half. Nowadays I look at an LCD monitor and they pale in comparison as far as picture quality. I have a 30" LCD Monitor in my living room and it looks HALF as good as this monitor. I highly reccomend this ViewSonic monitor.
