First DVD burn was successful!!!

(5 out of 5) by K. Ng on Sep 15, 2004 (Bohemia, NY)
I just burned my first home video DVD on the Memorex DVD+R disc.
It worked the first time! I have a TDK Burner installed in my Dell computer. The resulting disc works on my wife's Gateway laptop with DVD and also my Pioneer home DVD player.
So far so good...no coasters.

Don't know what's the problem

(5 out of 5) by J. Wong on Jul 30, 2004 (San Francisco)
I have burned about 200 Memorex dvd+r disks and encountered only about 3 bad ones. Otherwise, it's the best value for the money. Highly recommend.

Awful discs

(1 out of 5) by Matthew S. Leinhos on Feb 17, 2004 (Albuquerque, NM USA)
Don't waste your money on these like I did. I've burned 3 discs so far. They barely play on my dvd player - some of the titles of the dvd are missing. They are unreadable on my computer's dvd drive.

Good quality...

(4 out of 5) by Amazon Customer on Feb 9, 2004
I've used these Memorex DVD+Rs with no problems on my Lite-On dual format DVD writer. No problems playing in a XBox, Toshiba and Sony standalones. I would not say these were the best I ever used. I'd have to give that to Verbatim and TDK. Hopefully, in 6 months, these Memorex DVD+Rs will still play in my standalones.

I would NEVER equate anything made by Memorex as top of the line. =) But their products do the job. No complaints so far.

Best price, perfect copies, burns at 8x

(5 out of 5) by Amazon Customer on Feb 4, 2004
Best price on the net that I can find with free shipping!

The media are manufactured by CMC.

I got a deal on a Khypermedia 8x DVD+R drive for $69.99 after rebate and haven't had any problems. Most of the problems seem to be with the firmware of drives, make sure you update the firmware for media compatibility!

These disks are rated at 4x, but my drive burns them at 8x.
