Got what I paid for...
I have used Sony media exclusively until I saw the "good deal" on the Memorex DVD+R 25 pack. I have used 5 Memorex discs so far with only 2 successful burnings. At this rate, my DVDs are costing over $3 each. Sure, 25 DVDs for $30 is great, but if 2 out of every 5 work, the "value" quickly disappears. I have read a lot of other reviews reporting the same thing. I'm sticking with Sony for now on.

Great Media
I've been using these blank disks on a Micro Advantage 4DVDRW-B13 with Roxio Classic Creator. The DVD burner is a little generic but the Memorex media works perfectly at 4x. I tried Fujifilm first and got coasters. I should have started with Memorex. I've used almost 50 Memorex CD-R's in the past month or so without a single coaster and I'm sure the DVD+R's will be just the same. I'm not quite to 50 yet but I'm well on my way and no coasters yet.

so far so good
I'm using a new Phillips standalone, put in the firmware upgrade and have been using these discs for a week at 6 hour capacity. So far no glitches!

Terrible Media
Recommend RiData DVD-Rs. I bought a 100 pack of the memorex with bad results and ignored customer support. Wasted money.

Don't know if the problem is the media, software, hardware..
I'm giving this a very avergae 3 stars because honestly i don't know whether the problems i am having are a result of the media, the hardware, or the software. I am using these Memorex 4x DVD+R discs with my Dell PC which has an NEC ND-1100A burner. The software is DVD X Copy Xpress. I have been successful about 80% of the time, and I can't figure out what's going wrong the other 20% of the time. Usually the software will finish the copy, say "burn successful", and the disc will pop out of the burner ready to go. I think "great, it worked!", but then I try to play it in my DVD player (which has never had a problem reading anything) and the player cannot read the disc. Not even my PC's DVD-ROM drive can read it.
So, in summary I don't know which piece of the puzzle is not working. Is it really possible for one brand of DVD+R (Memorex) to work better or worse then another (Fuji or TDK), even if they are the same speed? Too confusing, I tell you. What does one have to do to avoid wasting time and money? Oy vey...
