Great Deal!
I bought it to take to Europe w/ me on a trip. Needed something small and not real expensive if I lost or something. I'm really happy w/ both the player and speakers. Has no skip protection but it doesn't claim to. Speakers are much more powerful than they look. I say it's a great deal!

It's worth the price
Sounds good, skips even on anti-skip. This cd player can play cds pretty well. I use it all the time in school and at home. There is a problem though. It uses up batteries too quickly every half-hour the batteries need changes. My previous cd player however ran much longer on batteries, like 6 hours straight. That's because I payed more for that one than I did this one.

Dont expect much
I got this as a request for a cd player for Christmas. Boy, this thing blows. Whenever I walked, it didnt skip. Worse, it turned off, with fresh batteries. Speaking of batteries, this thing eats em up. Doesnt last 45 minutes with top notch batteries like energizer. The radio was alright, dont use it much though. Speakers were mediocre. Dont go with Coby. Go with brands like Panasonic. I got that blue Panasonic portable mp3 cd player. Its Expensive, but hey, its durable, no skip at all, plays mp3 cds. And it looks cool too.

It works
For everything you get, it's a great deal. The CD player has no skip protection at all, but it can take falls and beatings very well. The mini speakers are good to have around and they, too, stand up to beatings.

only worked for 7 months!
Got this set last X-mas; used it approx. 30 times always with new "AA" Duracell batteries. I didn't use it for a month or so then in August I tried to play a CD (not a copy-an original!) and it only plays for the first 40 seconds then just spins and spins and spins.....no sound, no new track song plays, nothing!!! I am an adult who takes very good care of electronics....there is no explanation for why this CD just quit in such a short time! Sent e-mail to Coby cust. svc....no replies as of 2 weeks ago! Stick with the "real" brands!
