Magnovox DVD Recorder
Easy to use, works well, good quality recording - what's not to like.

all good
I bought this recorder over the weekend, and have had absolutely no problems with it at all. I've been able to record from TV, VCR, and camcorder quite easily. It does exactly what I want it to do, and it was a steal at $350.

Well worth the purchase price
I bought this unit almost two years ago. I have made hundreds of discs, from other dvd, cable tv and vhs. Has always worked. I use dvd-rw discs. They are universally compatible. I have made many discs for friends. None have been incompatible. I bought with hesitation two years ago. Was going to take back if any problems. Will buy another when or if this one dies.

Compatibility
Just bought this unit so haven't used it enough to give a full evaluation, but I can say that it produces RW disks that are compatible with my cheap little $49 Apex dvd player

About Using + RW Disk
This will help one understand that not all DVD Players will read
a + RW Disk. That's why it important to know what type of equipment youre going to be using before you select a DVD recording format weather its +R (+RW)(Ram )or -R (-RW) DVD Disk.
If the user had a JVC XV-N55SL Model player or other recent made DVD player it is possible for you to read both formats +R/+RW/ and all finalized DVD Disk.
The Magnavox Recorder itself is independent of the previous
viewer's problem. The best advise I could give anyone is read your operations manual thoroughly before using and not truely knowing it's capabilities.
