A neat gadget with practical functionality
(4 out of 5) by Jaycee Dempsey on Apr 2, 2007 (Richmond, VA)I was so happy to find a battery operated alarm clock with a radio. This alarm clock has several unique features that make up for its shortfalls.
First, the entire face plate is a snooze/backlight button. This is especially nice when you are half asleep and you can blindly just grab the ball and give yourself another 6 minutes of silence.
I also really like how easy it is to change alarm sounds, but I will mention that the placement of the time doesn't make sense on a few sides. I think the hour should always be on the left of the minutes, but this isn't always the case.
Additionally, the radio seems to pick up stations well and without static in my area. The other alarm sounds are also nice because they aren't as harsh and startling as alarm clocks that I've had. If you like loud obnoxious buzzers though, it has one too.
My one issue with this alarm clock is how hard the buttons are to push. When I'm ready for bed and setting the alarm, the last thing I feel like doing is steadying a ball in my hands and finding the right angle so that I can get the hour/min buttons pushed in without hitting other buttons.

A Really Cool and Unique Alarm Clock!

The clock features an orange-colored backlight, three different alarm sounds (submarine sonar, froggie, and ringing bell) and the fourth alarm is the FM radio. To choose which alarm sound you want, you simply turn the clock so that the little icon for that sound is facing-up. The clock has an inner gyroscope that automatically flips the digital display right-side-up no matter which way you turn it - again a pretty cool feature!

2. LONG LONG battery life (I bought mine in January 2006 and it's been almost 2 years and I haven't changed the batteries once! No kidding!).
