A little large but good quality - Update: Broke at about 6 months

(4 out of 5) by Fred Ammons on May 4, 2006 (Macon, GA USA)
I have had this headset for 3 or 4 months and it is working well.
- Update 6/20/2006 - I still have this unit. I have lost the little foam mic cover, but it still works great. It has held up well.
- Update 7/18/2006 - Well, The headset finally bit the dust. It made it a little less than 6 months. It broke at the slide area. I am opting to replace it with a Platronics M175. This unit is a little more expensive, but it is convertible between and over the head and over the ear model and has a noise canceling mic. All in all the unit was woth the $10.99 I paid in February.

Headsets for Panasonic 5.8

(5 out of 5) by Leonard P. Cook on Mar 24, 2006
After trying many headsets from 2.4 equipment and 5.8 Panasonic headsets, this is the only one that didn't reduce the volume by 50% and had excellent clarity.

Excellent sound quality

(5 out of 5) by Beau-Tech on Sep 1, 2005 (Detroit, MI)
This headset works excellent in my Panasonic 5.8G phone. People I am talking with say that the sound quality is very good. I have tried other brand headsets and this is the best by far.

Excellent headset!

(5 out of 5) by Amazon Customer on Feb 4, 2004
I just bought my first Panasonic headset. I have tried other headsets in the past mostly over the ear and have found them rather uncomfortable. This is my first over the head headset and I love it. Sound quality is really good. Works well with my home phone and cell phone. The price here at Amazon is also unbeatable. If you're looking for a headset, definitely give this one a try.

May not be compatible with 5.8Ghz cordless phones

(1 out of 5) by Spiro Apostolopoulos on Mar 2, 2005 (Raleigh, NC USA)
I purchased this headset based on the reviews and price. However, the headset did not work with my 5.8GHz, AT&T 5840 cordless handset. There was considerable static and I could not be heard well. I checked the product package and it stated that the headset is compatible with 900MHz and 2.4GHz analog/digital phones. There was no specific compatibility information on Amazon.com so I had no reason not to think it would work with my 5.8GHz phone. Many reviewers have said that the KX-TCA86 is not as good but for me that is not the case. I purchased this headset at Best Buy after checking the package and seeing that it was compatible with 5.8GHz phones. I can be heard perfectly (better than from the handset I am told) and I can hear perfectly. So if you have a 5.8GHz phone I would stay away from this headset and get the KX-TCA86 instead.
