Pros
-> The brightness of the panel is terrific. I actually had to reduce the brightness level down to about 80. It comes preset to 100.
-> Great value for the price!
-> 3 year warranty. I was surprised about this. Most flat panel manufacturers give only a 1 year warranty.
-> Space and power saver. I replaced my 17" CRT with this unit.
-> Very fast response rate. I have not noticed any ghosting effect. I have a Dell 15" flat panel as well and the response rate on that is nowhere as fast as this one.
-> The on-screen menu and options are very clearly labeled and easy to use. Very little adjustment was needed out of the box. It was mostly my own personal preference that caused me to adjust any of the settings at all.
Cons
-> Text is not the sharpest I have seen on a flat panel. I have a Dell 15" digital flat panel and that one by far has a sharper text display.
-> Analog only. I find that digital flat panels gives a much sharper display in both text and graphics, generally speaking.
-> Cornea is not a well known brand so you are taking a bit of a chance. For me, the price was definitely worth the risk.
-> The stand is not removeable and the panel is not mountable. this is not actually a con if you don't plan to mount it.
If you happen to have a KVM switch and would like to use this flat panel with it, my advice is don't. I plugged this into my Linksys KVM switch and the images and text came out very blurry. I then plugged the unit straight into my pc and the difference is night and day. This is definitely a no frills unit and as such, you don't need to read the manual (which really doesn't contain any useful information) to figure anything out.
I can recommend this one
The setup was completely plug and play. The contrast is good for for my normal use purposes, and although I fiddled with the controls just out of habit, I ended up returning to the automatic settings. And, by the way, there are also no missing pixels.
I would recommend this one to my grandmother.
