fast, better than sandisk

Aug 8, 2003 - By Amazon Customer (San Diego, CA United States)

I had both this card and a 256mb sandisk sd card, and writing to the panasonic card with a card reader it was noticaeably faster, about 2-3 times faster than the sandisk card. Also reading large files from it on a pocketpc, it was noticeably peppier than the sandisk card. Probably the best SD Cards available.

Reliable and affordable

Jul 25, 2003 - By Gadgester (New York)

I have a 64MB SD card by Panasonic which came with my Panasonic AV-10 e-wear gadget as well as a 128MB also from Panasonic, and both have proven totally reliable. I stuff the 128MB with WMA music and use it in my iPaq 1910, and because I'm a clumsy guy I dropped the card a few times, but there are no file errors and the read and write speeds are excellent. I trust Panasonic and also Lexar flash cards. As Panasonic SD cards have come down in price -- now even cheaper than Lexar and Sandisk -- I'm getting the 256MB so I can store more video clips on my AV-10 multi-AV device.

Fast, reliable, and high-capacity!

Dec 18, 2003 - By Amazon Customer (Minneapolis)

I recently purchased the Panasonic 256 SD card, an upgrade from my 64 SD card that I had before and I am just as pleased with this card. I recently went on a trip to Europe and kept piling pictures onto the card, plus I used it to download my trip details, phone book and more. I really like the versatility that this card affords, and the fact that it is compatible with many different products, something that competing formats are not. My friend ran into this problem when she bought a similar product and found it imcompatible with much of her outdated products. I also found the card to be reliable--it went all the way through Western Europe and back and still works as good as new!

FAST and RELIABLE, what more can you ask for?

Mar 17, 2004 - By Amazon Customer (PLACENTIA, CA USA)

My first digital camera used Compact Flash card. I bought a PNY card which corrupts every so often. When that happened, I would have to turn the camera off and on again (sort of re-boot), and all the pictures already taken would lost. Originally, I thought it was the camera (a HP), but after some research on the web, I found out that it was a problem common to PNY cards as well as other cheap cards.

Therefore, when it was time for me to buy a SD card for my new digital camera, I got smart this time and did the homework first. Thanks to all the reviewers on Amazon.com, I narrowed my choices to Panasonic and SimpleTech, both with almost identical specs. I purchased the Panasonic card because of its slightly lower price at the time. I now have used this card for over 3 months, and am absolutely satisfied with its performance. First off, it is very fast. My camera has a "burst" mode in which it takes 5 consecutive shots a second. This cards handles it with ease. Most importantly, this card is extremely reliable. I have taken over 2,000 pictures with it and never once had problem with file corruption.

You will take countless number of pictures over the life of a SD card, so it is well worth the extra $20-$30 for the speed and reliability. Highly recommend it with any digital camera.
