Perfect travel clock!

(5 out of 5) by Sharon M. on May 14, 2009 (Clinton, CT United States)
If all you want or need is an easy-to-set, easy-to-use, featherweight travel alarm that doesn't keep you awake with its loud ticking, this is your clock! I love the illuminating button, which allows me to check the time quickly and then fades out, so I don't lie there staring at the digital time report in the darkness. The alarm is loud enough to rouse me, but otherwise this clock, unlike its predecessor, is silent, thank goodness. At this price, it just doesn't get any better.

The Elgin Travel Alarm is very easy to use, has indiglo for nighttime visibility and isn't very expensive.

So pleased!

Excellent travel clock - compact, easy to use and set up, no overwhelming bells and whistles to deal with. Loud alarm to get you up without giving you a morning heart attack. Indiglo is useful and turns off quickly so as not to disturb sleep. I loved it so much, I bought another one and use it as a daily alarm clock. Highly recommended.

it broke before I got to use it

The clock doesn't have an "off switch," once it turns on it is on the whole time. So I decided to put the batteries in backwards so that I could just flip them around the right way when I wanted to use it and it wouldn't work anymore. I couldn't use the travel alarm clock for my whole trip (12 days).
