No doubt about it, great deal

(5 out of 5) by Gazzaden on Aug 17, 2006 (AZ, USA)
After reading every review I could lay by hands on, I finally took the plunged and ordered this from Amazon. All I can say is, the reviews are not kidding, an amazing deal. The quality of the eyepieces surprised me at this price, I especially like the 32mm eyepiece, great field of view!. The case is solid, and with extra room for more bits as I get them. I haven't tried the filters yet, but even if they do half what they promise, with everything else in the box I am very happy.

Well worth it!

(4 out of 5) by Delbs on Jan 1, 2004 (Henderson, NV United States)
I'm just writing to add a few extra quality points this accessory kit offers. All the filters are stackable except for the moon filter. I checked to make sure all the elements were fully multi-coated and everything checked out as stated. I'm not checking these eyepieces based on what they say but rather by a technique acquired from an astronomy book. The accessory kit took two months to get but like earlier reviews its a decent kit for the price and wait.

Excellent beginner set

(5 out of 5) by TeeBob on Dec 31, 2003 (Chicago)
Bought to go with my newly acquired Bushnell reflector which came with cheap (mostly plastic) EPs. VERY impressed so far with the improvement of these. BTW, if you want it cheaper by $20, order from www.bhphotovideo.com

This is definately a quality set. The lens are very well constructed as are other celestron products. Excellent price can't be matched anywhere.

Celestron eye-piece accessory

(5 out of 5) by Cal on Oct 11, 2005 (Midlothian, VA)
I have used all 5 of the eyepieces and the Barlow 2X with my Celestron Nexstar 8" SCT. I am pleased with the variety of eyepieces provided and found the 6mm, 9mm, 15 mm and 32 mm to perform very well. The 4mm has been used less frequently. To have a family of eyepieces to choose from at the price of $119 is a good value. The 2X barlow works very well with 9mm and above eyepieces and also with the 25 mm standard eyepiece. I have not had a chance to really use the filters yet but am confident they will provide enhancements as designed. The same item was found on Hungate's website at $149 and was priced at $199 in the local Hungate store. I purchased at Amazon for $119 and free shipping. The time of order to delivery was about 1 week. I would highly recommend to a beginner that is anxious to have a variety of eyepieces to view the planets. Better quality is available but the kit provides a handy storage and travel case with expansion spaces. I even store my camera's lens adapter there. After all is said, I am glad I bought the kit and consider it a very good value.
