These speakers sound great. Very clean and clear sound. I bought enough to do a 7.1 system. Even with the built in bass it wasn't enough to go without a subwoofer. I tried - the bass is good, but still missing those really deep tones - still had to get a subwoofer.

Always been a fan of BIC America speakers, I use a pair of Venturi 6 Studio Monitors from 1975 in my recording studio, for critical mixing and listening. These in-walls have a good Fq range by themselves, but sound amazing with acoustic foam lined, and fiber filled, back boxes, built from 3/4" MDF Board, installed in the walls behind them. Use 36" x 14" x 3.5" boxes minimum between the studs and line with 1/2" to 1" acoustic dampeming foam, and then stuff with Acoustic stuffing or Loose Fiberglass insulation. The bass range wil extend downward, and the mid range and tweeter clarity will become more defined. This will make this great speaker, fantastic! We're very happy with the product and would recommend them highly. When put through the "gold standard test" (Pink Floyd's Dark Side of the Moon, "Gold Plated Half Speed Master" CD) these speakers just shine like a diamond!

Needed some in wall speakers. Did a bit of research and it lead me to these.
All of the reviews I had read were right on. Good quality, very easy install, good highs, decent lows. All in all, a great speaker for the price. (I had this playing in a cardboard box in one corner with a Polk Audio in a box in the other corner). Polk sound was a tad better, but not $150 dollars better.

Can't go wrong with these!
