Poor Quality Cordless Phone

(1 out of 5) by Amazon Customer on Nov 16, 2002 (Topton, NC United States)
I pre-ordered this item and patiently waited for it to arrive. The new V-Tech 5831 cordless phone has the worst reception I've ever experienced; don't plan on talking more than six feet away from the base, and forget about leaving the phone in a convenient place for receiving calls because it will not hold a charge for more than two hours. So, I am on the lookout for another model after returning this phone. I wish someone would design a cordless phone that was worth buying.

Worst Phone Yet!!!!

(1 out of 5) by Amazon Customer on Dec 23, 2003
This phone is the worst. It takes up to much room. The sound reception is like talking to someone in the center lane of the expressway. We own another Vtech phone which was a total waste too. The only best part about this phone is it has a speaker phone, but for anything else the phone isn't worth the bucks. For the hearing impaired this is your worst nightmare of a phone.

Great Deal for Great Item

(5 out of 5) by Amit Singhania on Sep 27, 2002 (USA)
This is a very Great Deal for V-Tech Cordless phone. This phone has very wide network and have display facility on both i.e. on Handset and on Cordless.

I personally believe this facilities are not available on any other company cordless with so cheap price.

I recommend every body to go for this cordless phone only.

Thanks
