Amazing -Very Impressed and under $100.00 !!

(5 out of 5) by Steven Weber on Mar 7, 2005 (Spring Hill, FL)
Hi
I just bought the Polk R 15 s for my den and I was blown away!
I have used many different speakers over the years, (Cerwin Vega, Inter-Ego and Ross) and these Polks are great! The R 15s are the first Polk products I have owned and they will not be the last. I have them hooked up to a Sherwood receiver and listen to my Sirius satellite radio and CDs through them and highly recommend them for small to medium rooms. All this for under $100.00! Awesome!
Steve

Good sound quality

(5 out of 5) by Vikram Kalyanaraman on Nov 29, 2005 (San Jose, CA USA)
Found these cheap at Fry's Electronics in the SF Bay Area. I have one pair at work as desktop speakers connected to an old Realistic Solid State Stero Amp. The sound great - balanced and full. The other pair serves as rear surround speakers at home and they do the job well. The highs are subtle compared to the R20s and R50s. The bass is pretty tight and clear for a speaker of this size.

Excellent speakers!

(5 out of 5) by J. D. Prelesnik on Jan 10, 2007 (Renton, WA United States)
I wanted some full-range bookshelf speakers for the "rear" position in my surround sound system, and after a lot of research, I chose the Polk Audio R15. I couldn't have made a better choice. They've got a nominal impedance of 8 ohms, frequency response of 65Hz to 24kHz (-3dB), efficiency of 89dB, and can handle 100W (each). For those of you who aren't into "specs", these numbers mean the speakers reproduce all frequencies between 65Hz and 24kHz relatively equally, deliver the sound efficiently (meaning you'll make the most of the power an inexpensive amplifier has to offer), and will tolerate the power that most home stereo and surround sound amplifiers can deliver. When I received the speakers, I tested them by connecting them as the "main" speakers in my system, and they sounded great. Granted, the bass wasn't as dominating as it is from my main speakers, but for bookshelf speakers, the sound was excellent. As the rear speakers, they complete the surround sound experience. To make the deal even better, I got a pair of them on sale (delivered) for $75! No regrets!

Awesome sound, great price

(5 out of 5) by RI User on Jan 9, 2007 (RI)
I use these for a stereo (2.0) and the sound is incredible. They are my only speakers in a 800 sq. ft. area and they fill the room with sound. These speakers have excellent range. These replaced my old Sony speakers and absolutely blew them away. I tried the Bose but they didn't sound as clean as the Polk. And you cannot beat the value!!

Don't hestitate to buy like I was

(5 out of 5) by My_Handshake on Jan 3, 2007 (HiTek, Midwest)
I have a 5 year old Kenwood receiver that puts out 100watts. I needed some small speakers that would play music on the weekends when my wife was out. These fit perfectly in my armoire below the tv. These pack the best punch for under 80bucks. My brother and friend have some large Klipsch and Dynaudio speakers and these sound just as good for the size.

Buy them with confidence and don't waste any more time like I did!!
