Perfect for DSC-V1

(5 out of 5) by Amazon Customer on Oct 10, 2003
I have a Sony DSC-V1 camera, which I love, and therefore wanted to get a small, light-weight, durable, great-looking, and feature-full case to match this excellent camera.

Naturally, Sony offers the best and most expensive fits. The LCS-VHB ($ 29.99 at sonystyle.com) and LCS-VHA ($ 59.99) are the two smallest cases recommended for the DSC-V1.

Unlike Amazon, Sony does not recommend the LCS-PC2 (this item) for the DSC-V1 (check out the recommended DSC-V1 accessories at sonystyle.com) and this is a huge mistake!

This case is perfect for anyone looking for best value for money case with all features. The case has:
* extra padding;
* an extra-strong, duct-tape like bottom;
* a carrying strap, a belt slit;
* side restraints, so that when you unzip it the camera cannot fall out;
* separate zipped front pocket with two separate compartments inside for extra battery and memory sticks (the memory stick compartment has its own zip!);
* PVC makes for a great looking, soft, and durable material!

This is a great-looking, extremely feature-packed, and incredibly compact case for all P and the V1 Cybershot cameras. Besides, the case is flexible enough to use as a shoulder bag, waist pouch, or just hanging. At $ 13, what more could you wish for?

Worth it

(5 out of 5) by A. Pieterse on Oct 17, 2003 (London)
I ordered this case as an international customer and had it delivered to a hotel in the USA where my family was staying so I couldn't go to a store to see in person how the case looks. The case is advertised as a general carrying case for the P-series (P72, P92, P10) and it has the round edge just like the P-series. Since the P-series is a bit smaller than the SONY DSC V1, I was scared that my V1 wouldn't fit into the case. I received both the case and the camera yesterday and I am extremely pleased. The camera fits like a glove and there is enough space to put in a few extra things such as batteries or memory sticks in the front. I was also scared it would have a cheap look to it, seeing as it is only $... It actually looks really stylish and I would definitely recommend it to anyone with either a P-series or V1 CyberShot.

A little to big for the DSCP8

(4 out of 5) by Amazon Customer on Nov 25, 2003
Excellent case, soft, protects the camera. But it is a little to big for my model, the Cybershot DSCP8. The camera bounces in the inside.

Maybe it's the camera, that is to small?

Right-sized for the Sony Cybershot DSC-V1

(5 out of 5) by Dale J. Bjorklund on Dec 11, 2003 (St. Peter, MN USA)
When I pulled it out of the Amazon box, I thought it might be too small for the V1, but I like the fit! Its compact size works great with one of the best new generation 5MP digital still cameras. I like how the fabric gussets on the sides of the main compartment only allow it to open far enough for camera access(nice on the belt). Its smaller front compartment has both a regular pocket and another facing compartment with a full length zippered close. Both are made from that net type material. Very slick, functional design from Sony.

Sony Cyber-shot Carrying Case

(5 out of 5) by Amazon Customer on Aug 16, 2003
I bought the Sony Cyber-shot carrying case for my Sony 2.0 camera even before my camera arrived. It fits into the case snugly and is a beautiful fit. The case is made of something soft like deer hide (it says it is 100% PVC), which will protect the camera from nicks and scratches. It has a small front compartment for memory sticks and batteries. These should fit in with no difficulty when transporting the camera. I can not find a reason to down rate it so I am giving it a 5 star rating.
