Nice case until the clip broke after a few months. I still used it with half the clip intact until the other half broke a year later. Remember when things used to last for decades rather than months?

I think the people that are having issues with this case, have no clue how to put the camera in the bag. Lense down and out, fits perfect. I have plenty of room for (2) extra SD cards, and (2) extra batteries. When I need to take a shot, pop it and slide it out and snap. Never missed one yet, then slide the camera right back in and go. Nikon should have a class for those who need to learn how to put the camera in the bag...point and shoot for some I guess, lol.

I'm not disparaging Nikon here; they make terrific product, but I also think this case is just too small for my Coolpix 4300. It's terrific quality and extremely rugged (love the extra compartmnent for memory cards, too), but the setting and power dials consistently shift when sliding the camera in/out of the case. Rather annoying when trying to take a quick picture as I always have to check my settings first. I returned for a replacement, thinking that perhaps the case was defective, but the others were small as well.

I don't know what the people are talking about with their cases being a too tight fit. I think the case fits like a glove. Snugly enough so the camera doesn't jiggle around, but not tight. I fit my camera so that the lens goes in first, and the strap is at the opening. When I need my camera I just tug at the strap while I pull the case down. It fits nicely. There's a small zipper pocket at the front for an extra card and battery. I too don't know what the small black loop is for. The case looks good and the construction is good.

This case looks good , but that's it the 4300 will not fit as it should. the fit is so tight the camara must be squesed in the case ,then try to take it out , it's like trying to take off a too tight boot, by the time you get it out the shot is gone.
and also moves your settings , turns on or off your camara,
toss in an extra battery and your stuck . The zipper will not close. But don't worry the seams start to unravel and split.
What a waste of money . Nikon stands for quality , but not here.
