Works great and easy to setup

The hard drive on my laptop died. So after I replaced it with a new drive, I plugged my old drive into the enclosure, plugged that into my laptop, and voila, I could copy off most of the data that was otherwise trashed.
On XP, or 2000, there is no software to install. Just make sure you plug in the ac adapter (included), otherwise your USB port likely won't have enough juice. Also, my laptop had the old USB (not 2.0), but it still worked fine.
This would also be a nice way to add more space to any computer with USB, or to have a portable drive.

Worth the price.

flimsy case, but does the trick

Other than that, it works great and is a good product for backing up any IDE laptop hard drives (2.5")
