Tripp lite surge protector

(5 out of 5) by Rollin' Doughnut on Aug 5, 2008 (Metro DC)
Have been using Tripp Lite surge surpressors for over 15 years on computer and other expensive electronics and never had a failure or damage. (Their Isobar line is tops in my book.) The Ultrablok428 is now standing guard on my new Sleep Number bed. No worries! Nice compact but heavy duty plug-in unit with clear status lights.

Tripp Lite Surge Protector

I use this for my new front loading washer/dryer. The dryer is LP gas, so it runs off 110v. It's a VERY cheap insurance policy in Florida.

Very heavy-duty industrial grade suppressor

(5 out of 5) by Exillis on Mar 25, 2009
If you take your computer seriously and have just a monitor and case PSU to power, then this is the surge protector you need. All black finish matches nicely with my other components. The LEDs make it easy to check on problems quickly. This takes up only one socket but obviously blocks the second below it.

My only criticism is the rubber stopper on the back for keeping the block upright is just a bit too large and actually pushes the prongs partially out of the socket. I had to press on it a bit to get it flush.

Cost efficient

If you need a low budget dual outlet surge protector this is it. Not exactly small or unnoticeable nonetheless it provides good protection and Tripp-lite has a superior warranty.

Ugly but seems to work

Since using this suppressor, I haven't a problem. It's big and bulky, but seems to do the trick.
